Tanja Haak developed a specialisation on European Works Councils (Directive 94/45/EC), in particular as regards assisting companies (management and employee representatives) in their preparations for setting up and working with such Works Councils, including providing appropriate training for management and/or employee representatives. She has also participated as mediator/facilitator in various seminars/in-house workshops concerning transnational information and consultation of employees (EWCs).

He is an industrial relations consultant with wide ranging experience and capabilities in the European Union and the US. Clark Herman represents major US and UK based multinational corporations in a variety of industries and specializes in developing and implementing human resource strategies domestically and internationally.
He also advises management on the critical process of information and consultation with employee representatives at European and national level in the event of restructuring, movement of work, outsourcing and the introduction of EU-wide HR policies.

Charlie McKenzie Charlie is a professional negotiator working with the sole aim of promoting best practice and procedures, cultivating relationships built on a firm foundation of mutual trust in managing change through re-structuring, re-organisation and re-engineering.
A former Union man and now a freelancer consultant, he knows European Works Councils inside-out and he has that special relationship with the employees. Like no other, he can contribute to a good relationship between management and representatives. He advises EWC members and assists them in their discussions with management.
Charlie works both with management and employees.

Ernst van Kogelenberg Ernst van Kogelenberg is co-owner of Presence Human Drives PHD) S.A. involved in advising the management of international companies especially during the preparation of projects of cross-border restructuring, mergers and acquisitions.
Ernst has studied business-economics at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam (Netherlands) and human resources management at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor- U.S.).
He has worked as board-member of Unilever Personal Products Europe, as Vice President Human Resources of Nissan Europe and project director of the Renault-Nissan alliance; as member of the executive team of Essent (the market leading energy company in the Netherlands) and as Senior vice President HR of SHV Holdings (international retail and gas& oil-company)
Ernst has extensive experience in setting up European Works councils (EWC) especially in dealing with EWC’s (and local employee-representation-bodies) during major restructuring-, merger- and integration programs.
Ernst has developed structured approaches how to optimize employee-involvement in major restructuring (EWC; national and local employee-representation), based on which he recommends programs for improvement, beneficial for the management and the employees of the company. As a program-manager he also supports the implementation of these programs.
