HR Webtalk 3: the evaluation of the EWC directive by the European Commission

In light of the positive evaluation of European Works Councils, the Commission proposes to create a practical handbook and provide €7 million funding to support the implementation of the Directive and the effectiveness of European Works Councils.

All stakeholders, including national authorities and social partners, consider the rules under the new Directive relevant and find that they offer a significant contribution to ensuring transnational social dialogue at company level. According to the report, information for workers has improved in terms of quality and scope. The Commission also finds that the effectiveness of the consultation procedure can still be improved.

This HR WEBTALK will provide you with the highlights:

  • What are good practices for EWCs?
  • How can we build on them?
  • How can existing EWCs become more effective?
  • How can you provide input into this debate?

HR WEBTALKS are online information and benchmarking for HR professionals.

HR professionals are always looking for opportunities to keep abreast of the latest developments and to benchmark with peers.

However, attending live events means wasting precious time travelling.

Whilst meeting up in person is still important and people will always enjoy an informal chat over a coffee or a beer, we offer solutions to enable HR professionals to find information, network and benchmark from the comfort of their office.

HR WEBTALKS are short sessions of 50 minutes with 1 speaker, 1 topic and a moderator.

The sessions are recorded and can be made available upon request so that they can be shared with colleagues who cannot attend.
