Simultaneous interpretation
Simultaneous interpretation is when the interpreter translates at the same time as the speaker, usually from an interpreter booth during live meetings.
For online and hybrid meetings, the interpreter can participate from his or her own workplace. The goal is to ensure that participants receive a high-quality, real-time interpretation of what is being said.
Simultaneous interpretation requires a great deal of concentration by the interpreter, as well as full mastery of the languages involved. With the help of our experienced simultaneous interpreters, no one will miss a second of your meeting.
Consecutive interpretation
Consecutive interpretation is suitable for conversations in which no more than two different languages are spoken. The interpreter listens to the message in the source language and waits for a pause to translate it to the target language. This can be done sentence by sentence or the interpreter can provide a summary for longer sections. Consecutive interpretation is often used for bilingual meetings, speakers, witness statements, job interviews, training sessions and press conferences.
Consecutive interpretation is more time-consuming than simultaneous interpretation, but it is easier and cheaper to organise, as it does not require special equipment.
AI interpretation
AI interpretation uses advanced technology to deliver real-time language translation for virtual, hybrid, or in-person meetings. Available 24/7, it provides immediate support for even rare language combinations, making it perfect for last-minute events and global communication.
While AI interpretation excels in speed and accessibility, it is ideal for scenarios requiring quick translations and basic understanding, such as routine meetings or large-scale webinars. However, for complex discussions, nuanced topics, or cultural sensitivity, human interpreters remain the preferred choice.
AI interpretation is a cost-effective alternative that complements traditional interpretation services, ensuring all participants can follow along, regardless of the language spoken. Whether used alone or alongside human interpreters, AI interpretation offers a flexible and advanced solution for overcoming language barriers in today’s globalised world.
Whispered interpretation
With whispered interpretation (or ‘chuchotage’), the interpreter whispers the translation into the participant's ear while the speaker talks. The interpreter aims to remain inconspicuous and interprets simultaneously.
Whispered interpretation is an ideal solution for smaller meetings or events with a limited group of participants who speak a different language, such as short presentations, company visits, panel discussions or business negotiations. These interpreters must have excellent concentration skills, as they have to listen, translate and speak at the same time as the conversation proceeds. Whispered interpretation is a form of simultaneous interpreting without the luxury of working from a fully-equipped interpreter booth. The greatest benefit is that there is little to no delay compared to consecutive interpretation.
Liaison interpretation
Liaison interpreting is where experienced interpreters provide a consecutive or whispered interpretation during your tour or walk. Whispered interpreting is possible without any audiovisual equipment for a maximum of 2 persons at the same time. If more people need translation, it is possible to use consecutive interpretation. The interpreter listens to the message in the source language and waits for a pause to translate it to the target language.
The disadvantage is that your tour will take much longer as the interpretation does not happen simultaneously. If your audience is larger, we can use simultaneous interpreting with the necessary portable audiovisual equipment. All participants receive a professional headset and the interpreter whispers the translation simultaneously into a microphone. Online interpretation
In an increasingly digital world, online interpretation is gaining importance. Simultaneous or consecutive interpretation: The Presence Group combines professional software with high-quality microphones, headsets and keyboards to ensure that your interpretation runs smoothly.
Online interpretation offers many advantages, both for the interpreter and for the customer. Are you interested in remote interpretation with no transport costs or delay? Revised Report

Concise Minutes

Executive Summary
Want a systematic summary of your meeting? The executive summary captures all significant discussions, decisions, and action items in a concise, structured format. It’s perfect for participants or those who need a quick reference to the decisions made and actions to be taken, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
Audiovisual support and software
Multilingual negotiations, discussions or presentations are only possible with help of a solid toolset. The Presence Group is perfectly familiar with all the technologies and platforms you need to organise a physical or online multilingual meeting. Microphones, headsets or earphones, meetings via ZOOM, Teams, Interprefy or KUDO, interpreters on location or offering support remotely — The Presence Group can lend a hand with all of these aspects, with a genuine feel for both language and people.
Interpreter booth
The interpreter booths are ISO-certified, soundproof and create the ideal working environment for two interpreters. The interpreters receive the sound clearly and directly through their headsets and they interpret through a dedicated console and microphone. The interpreter booth is often at the back of the room, giving the interpreters a good view of the participants without disturbing them.
Headsets & infrared receivers
At the start of live conferences and events, headsets and infrared receivers are issued to the audience. Each participant tunes in to the right channel to receive the appropriate interpretation through the headset. For a more cost-effective alternative, the participants can also use their own smartphone instead of an infrared receiver.
Tabletop microphones and headsets
Live meetings with lots of interaction require strong technical support. The Presence Group provides each participant with a tabletop microphone and with a headset. Whether it is a panel, round-table discussion, or conference, our dynamic translation tools help conversations and discussions run smoothly.
Tour guide systems
A tour guide system (also called a portable audio guide system or portable interpreter kit) is perfect for compact groups with a limited number of languages. The portable case contains the correct number of receivers, headsets and microphones for your group. The interpreter whispers into the microphone and the participants listen to the interpretation through a radio headset. Easy and budget-friendly!
